Fees...

No cure, no pay ...almost...

The contingent fee is the basis of the collection industry compensation in the United States, and is extremely cost effective. In the rest of the world, this practice is not in favor, and often considered unethical or even illegal. Thus, "going direct" to foreign lawyers is not economically practical in the majority of cases.

Gruman Worldwide's greatest undertaking has been to reconcile this conflict of legal traditions. In over 100 countries, we have succeeded in implementing the contingent fee or have worked out various hybrid fee arrangements that are substantially similar in result. A small initial fee, ranging from $100 to $1000 depending on the case, buys a package of services.

The above fee schedule covers a package of services which we call "Local Demand". This includes: intaking and legal review in Gruman Worldwide's USA main office; the initial demand by multilingual collection staff; shipment of case to local counsel; local demand by phone, letter, and in person; making arrangements and contracts to pay; collection, conversion and remittance of funds. Reports on the progress of the case are given as the information comes in, never less than quarterly. The initial fee includes everything short of court action.

In addition to the initial fee, the contingent fee for collections is in the amount of 30% paid only out of actual monies collected. Cases over US $250,000 receive lower collection fee rates, individually quoted.
